Smart Home Oxfordshire

THE BRIEF

The client was building a brand-new home and we were called in to work with the architect on the lighting design and window treatments. Other challenges that the house posed were; no space for the TV in the living room that didn’t block the view of the beautiful garden to providing music for the kids in all their bedrooms but separately for adults in another space in the house or in the garden. They also requested to control music in the pool house from the main house. Security was also key for them requiring 24hr monitoring of their home and a secured entry system.

THE SOLUTION

We designed a fully bespoke lighting control system in accordance with the architectural plans that were in-tune with the decor. The family travelled frequently so ‘Holiday Mode’ was perfect for them, allowing them to control the lighting remotely from an app to give the illusion that the house was occupied.

To tackle the TV positioning issue in the living room, we dug a hole through the TV bench and into the floor so the TV would rise or disappear at the touch of a button leaving them view clear for the family to enjoy.

We upgraded the existing room that the family used for socialising to a fully equipped, bespoke home cinema. In the pool house/gym out-building we installed music, lighting control, intercom system and cameras overlooking the pool for safety, all of which can be controlled from the main house.

The intercom system we installed meant the family could communicate between any building on the property. The security alarm and CCTV we installed additionally sends push notifications for immediate response.
